HP OneView 1.10 Release Notes

2.6 Server profiles
Before assigning server profiles to server blades in an enclosure, ensure that in-progress tasks
on the enclosures or server hardware, such as add, refresh, and firmware updates, have
completed successfully.
Place server profile PXE boot connections on FlexibleLOM 1-1:a (primary PXE boot connection)
and FlexibleLOM 1-2:a (secondary PXE boot connection), which is the default performed by
the auto option.
When specifying boot from SAN boot configuration via a server profile, always specify:
Primary boot SAN target on the adapter port that is connected to on the left-side FlexFabric
interconnect module in the odd numbered IO Bay (for example, interconnect bay 1, 3,
5, or 7)
1.
2. Secondary boot SAN target on the adapter port that is connected to on the adjacent
right-side FlexFabric interconnect module in the even numbered IO Bay (for example,
interconnect bay 2, 4, 6 or 8)
Server profiles should specify a firmware baseline to ensure the minimum system ROM is
present to ensure all available BIOS settings are supported.
For a server to communicate on the data center networks, configure uplink sets with those
data center networks in a logical interconnect group before associating server profiles with
the enclosure group.
