Data Protector uses the official SAP backup/restore API (BRTOOLS), which is available only in conjunction with the
Oracle database. Therefore, Data Protector support is only dependent on the SAP Brtools version (as supported by
SAP in combination with various SAP Kernels) and not on the SAP Kernel version.
SAP database backup and archive log backup for the same SID in parallel is supported, while multiple SAP
database backups for the same SID are not supported.

Oracle 9i covers all released versions of Oracle 9.x.x.x

In Lotus Domino/Notes R6 (6.0.x), there is a bug in the Domino/Notes backup API. This affects incremental
backups, but has been resolved by IBM. IBM provides this fix to their customers on request. The customer can get
the fix for their version of R6 from IBM and use it with DP. The customer should open PMR referencing PMR#
66931,004,000 and SPR# WMUH5PJNN4 directly with Lotus Customer Service and mention that a hotfix is
required.

Oracle 10g covers all released versions of Oracle 10.x.x.x. Only the functionality supported in Oracle 9i and
backup and restore to Flash Recovery Area are currently supported, however backup and restore of Flash Recovery
Area itself is not supported. New features released in Oracle 10g will be supported at a later date.

Restore from Data Protector GUI is not yet supported for 64-bit Unix platforms.
