From the Management Appliance, verify you have Client for Microsoft Networks (Start>Settings>Network and Dial-Up Connections, right click on Local Area Connection and Properties), then connect to the share drive that contains Storage_Allocation_Reporter_V10D_SP2.swp 8. Copy the above file from the share into the following directory on the Management Appliance C:\COMPAQ\SWPInstallKits 9. Disconnect from the file share drive. Log off Terminal Services. 10.

From a client computer, launch Internet Explorer and browse to the Management Appliance splash page at http://:2301. 5. Browse to the hp OpenView Storage Management Appliance home page. 6. V1.0D SP2 Description V1.0D SP2 Description This section describes the SANworks Storage Allocation Reporter V1.0D SP2. SANworks Storage Allocation Reporter V1.0D SP2 requires Storage Allocation Reporter V1.0D or V10.D SP1 and hp Openview Storage Management Appliance software V2.0 to be present on the Management Appliance. Storage Allocation Reporter V1.0D or V10.D SP1 must be installed prior to the Management Appliance V2.0 install. The new features in Storage Allocation Reporter V1.
Known Issues and Workarounds Removing SAR Use caution before removing SAR from your Management Appliance because you cannot reinstall SAR V1.0D on the Management Appliance software V2.0. CAUTION: If you remove SAR and wish to reinstall it, you must return your Storage Management Appliance software to V1.0C and reinstall SAR V1.0D. Be certain that this is what you intend to do, as you must reinstall the Management Appliance Software V1.0C and reconstruct all settings.
Known Issues and Workarounds Alliance Restore to a Different Appliance Problem: When performing a Restore from a backup to a different Appliance, SAR does not launch on the restored Appliance. Solution: After Restore is complete, the DSN points to the old database. A problem will occur if Restore is performed from a backup to a different Appliance. If the backup is from Appliance A, and the Restore is performed on Appliance A, then there is no Restore problem.
