HP P6000 Command View Suite 10.3 Release Notes (T5494-96584)

Clarifying HP P6000 array-based management support
HP P6000 Command View array-based management:
Manages only one array.
Cannot manage HP P6000 Continuous Access relationships (HP P6000 Command View can
only see one side of the DR group). High availability solutions that rely on HP P6000 Continuous
Access, such as HP Cluster Extension Software (CLX) and HP Metrocluster, cannot be managed
using HP P6000 Command View array-based management.
Supports Insight Remote Support Standard and Insight Remote Support Advanced (HP P6000
Command View 9.4 or later).
Does not support HP SMI-S EVA and HP P6000 Performance Data Collector natively. However,
both HP SMI-S EVA and HP P6000 Performance Data Collector support EVAs that are managed
by HP P6000 Command View array-based management. To do so, install the software on a
Windows server from the HP P6000 Command View installer. With the HP SMI-S EVA provider,
be sure to give the IP address and credentials of the array running HP P6000 Command View
to the provider. See the HP P6000 Command View Installation Guide for instructions.
Supports hard disk drive firmware upgrades when running HP P6000 Command View 9.4
and XCS 10001000 or later.
Presenting a Vdisk to a host running Windows Server 2012
To present a Vdisk to a host running Windows Server 2012, you must ensure that the HP P6000
Command View host is created with the Operating System type set to Microsoft Windows
2012.
