Installation instructions
IMPORTANT: General references to HP P6000 Command View can also refer to earlier versions
of HP Command View EVA.
Install HP EVAInfo from the HP P6000 SW Suite CV/SmartStart/SSSU/Docs 10.2 DVD included
in the HP P6000 Command View Software Suite media kit.
1. Download HP EVAInfo to a directory on the server or host.
2. Ensure that the binary file has execute permission.
You can use the chmod command to set execute permission. For example,

# chmod 555 evainfo or # chmod u+x evainfo.
3. Execute the binary file as root.
For a list of supported options, enter the following command:
nl
# ./evainfo -h
Options
This section describes the options available for the evainfo [options] [raw_device_file]
command.
Basic options

Display information on all LUNs presented to the host.-a
Display information on the specified LUN.
For HP-UX 11.23, the raw device is in the format /dev/rdsk/cXtYdZ (for example,
/dev/rdsk/c23t0d1).

-d raw_device
For Linux, the raw device is in the format /dev/sdX or /dev/sgY (for example, /dev/
sdi or /dev/sg12).
Display help for options.-h
Display version details.
nl
-v
When specified with other options, only the version information appears.
