HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager Installation Guide (T3680-96092, October 2012)

2 Server software
This chapter describes how to install, remove, upgrade, and verify the server software.
Installing the server software
The default installation directory is C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\; however, you
can install the server software in another directory.
CAUTION: Do not abort the replication manager installation or close the session before the
installation is complete. Doing so creates incomplete data in files and directories and will cause
subsequent installations to fail. If you abort an installation, contact HP for assistance.
NOTE: If you specify an alternate installation directory, the software will detect and remove the
previous version of the software before installing the new version in the specified directory.
HP SMI-S is included in the replication manager server software installation. For more information
about HP SMI-S, see the HP P6000 Command View Software Suite Installation Guide.
