• Use Windows Add or Remove Programs to remove the software. You can remove the
server software remotely (using remote connection software) or locally. When removing the
server software remotely, use Terminal Services to access the management server and log in.
Removing the server software on servers running Windows 2008 x86 32-bit or x64 64-bit
does not remove the following folders:
◦ <install directory>\RSM\_uninst
◦ <program directory>\common files\InstallShield\Universal\
HP-ReplicationServerxx (where xx is the software version)
You must remove the folders manually (both folders should be empty).
• After removing the server software, HP strongly recommends that you reboot the server to
ensure proper clean-up of HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager Server host agent
application files. Failure to reboot after removing the server software can affect subsequent
installs.
• If Postgre SQL was installed by the server software, you have the choice to remove Postgre
SQL. .
• If Postgre SQL was not installed by the server software, the message The RSM Server
will not uninstall Postgre SQL because it was installed by some
other application appears.
• You can export the database before removing the software.
