Enhancements

Support is provided for the following:

• VSS

• Multiple Import of Shadow Copies

• Business Copy of Continuous Access Volume

• Auto-recovery and Transactional File System (TxF) Recovery

• Hyper-V Host and Guest O/S (Guest O/S - Shadow Copy creation only)

• VMware VM (Shadow Copy creation only)

• VDS

• Hyper-V Host and Guest O/S. The unmask/present operation of a LUN to the local host is not

supported on a Hyper-V guest OS.

• VMware VM. The unmask/present operation of a LUN to the local host is not supported on a

VMware VM.

Fixes

Fixes an issue that causes the hardware provider to create a fully allocated snapshot when the requestor

application sets the DIFFERENTIAL option and the VSS configuration utility Snap type is set to Demand

Allocated Snapshot.

Installation Instructions

The installer will automatically upgrade previous installations of the hardware provider software to

the latest version.

There are three installers for the hardware providers:

• HP_StorageWorks_VDS_VSS_Hardware_Provider_for_EVA_v5.04.00_x86.exe

• HP_StorageWorks_VDS_VSS_Hardware_Provider_for_EVA_v5.04.00_x64.exe

• HP_StorageWorks_VDS_VSS_Hardware_Provider_for_EVA_v5.04.00_ia64.exe
