A14. Manually delete the HP StorageWorks Management Pack version 1.5.3 from OpsMgr and then
import HP StorageWorks Management Pack v1.6.0 or later.
Q15. I have HP StorageWorks Management Pack 1.5.3 imported into OpsMgr 2007. It does not
upgrade when I install HP StorageWorks Management Pack 1.7.0 or later.
A15. Manually delete the HP StorageWorks Management Pack version 1.5.3 from the OpsMgr and
then import HP StorageWorks Management Pack version 1.7.0 or later. After manual importing of
Management pack version 1.7.0 or later, it overrides the Trap Catcher rules.
Q16. During upgrade of WEBES Listener Service on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 systems, it
does not give a warning message to the user before stopping and replacing the executable.
A16. Its a windows behavior on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 systems which has been overcome
in Microsoft Windows Server 2008 systems.
Q17. I am able to see multiple version of HP StorageWorks Management Pack installed in my system,
due to which I am not able to identify out of these versions which version is actually working.
A17. It was an issue with the HP StorageWorks Management Pack installer 1.7.0 or earlier. The HP
StorageWorks Management Pack package installer 1.8.0 or later resolves this issue. The HP
StorageWorks Management Pack installer 1.8.0 or later will uninstall all previous versions before
installing current version and only one version will exist in the system.
Q18. I am able to see multiple versions of HP StorageWorks Management Pack installed in my system
and during uninstallation of any of the released version, all the installed files get uninstalled, which
leads to other installed versions behaving incorrectly.
A18. It was an issue with HP StorageWorks Management Pack installer 1.7.0 or earlier. The HP
StorageWorks Management Pack installer 1.8.0 or later will uninstall all previous versions before
installing current version which resolves this issue.
Q19. I am able to see duplicate events from one E5000 Messaging System/X5000 System in the
OpsMgr console.
A19. Monitor only one blade server from the E5000 Messaging System/X5000 System. For more
information, see Configuring the Management Pack for Processing WMI Events\Alerts.
Q20. I am not able to see some events from the HP Storage Tape Drives in the HP Tape Drives
folder.
A20. It is an expected behavior. Open the HP Storage folder to see all the events from HP Storage
Tape Drive. These events come with source as "0".
Q21. I have installed the HP Storage Management Pack 2.0, and discovered the E5000 Messaging
Systems using OpsMgr Discovery Wizard. The firewall settings of the E5000 system are in the ON
mode. I am not able to see the Diagram View for the E5000 system.
A21. To confirm if the issue is with the firewall settings of the E5000 system, click Event Viewer >
Applications and Services logs > Operations Manager logs. Check if an error is logged with ID100
and the description Error: RPC server is unavailable <system name>.
To get the Diagram View, OFF the firewall settings of the E5000 Messaging System and check again.
Q22. I have installed the HP Storage Management Pack 2.0 and discovered the P4000 Systems
using OpsMgr Discovery Wizard. I am not able to see the Diagram View for the P4000 system.
A22. This can occur due to the unregistration of the .dll file which is used for the Diagram View.
It can happen due to registry problems.
To confirm if the issue is with the .dll file, click Event Viewer > Applications and Services logs >
Operations Manager logs. Check if an error is logged with ID101 and the description ActiveX
component cant create object: HPStorage.SNMP.
