6 Alert threshold and collection schedule settings
The plug-in allows you to set alerts for performance metrics and the collection schedule. “Collection
metrics (page 22) displays the metric name, default collection time, and description for each of
the collections.

NOTE: HP recommends setting collection times to more than fifteen minutes to avoid heavy loads
on Oracle Enterprise Manager agents. For troubleshooting, temporary frequent collection can be
scheduled. However, HP recommends that you return the collection time back to the original value
after troubleshooting is complete.
Setting the alert and collection schedule
1. On the Plug-in home page, below Related Links, click Metric and Policy Settings.
2. On Metric Thresholds tab of Metric and Policy Settings, click All metrics in View drop down
list.
