Used for the following actions (mainframe only):JP1
Unfence a fenced path
Release Write Inhibit
Used to Reset PS ALARM and TH ALARM conditionsJP2
When this jumper is set, the SSVP detection alarm is reset.
An IMPL of the SSVP is executed.
NOTE: When the SVP High Availability Kit is installed,
and an SVP failover (SIM RC-7FF3xx) has occurred, first
take action to resolve the SVP issue before performing an
SSVP reset.
JP3
Setting this jumper will result in a dumpbeing collected
from the SSVP. Note that the SSVP has to be reset after
this action is performed.
JP4
Theseare used in operations where a forcible power off of
the array is required (MM TRBL08-10).
NOTE: This action is not to be performed unless as part
of an Action Plan from an escalation.
JP5–JP6
This is a preset jumper and should not require any changes
at the site.
JP9
Memory operation
The XP7 places all read and write data in the cache. The amount of fast-write data in cache is
dynamically managed by the cache control algorithms to provide the optimum amount of read
and write cache, depending on the workload read and write I/O characteristics.
