The wrong
date and/or
time is
shown.
The batteries
died or were
removed from
the camera for
too long.
The date and time will be
maintained for about 10 minutes
without batteries installed. Reset
the date and time by using the
Date & Time option in the Setup
menu. (See page 58)
The camera
does not
respond
when I press
a button.
The camera is
turned off or
has shut down.
Turn on the camera, or turn it off
and then on again.
The camera is
connected to a
computer.
Most of the camera buttons,
except for the
lens cover/power
switch
, do not respond when the
camera is connected to a
computer. If they respond, it is
only to turn the Image Display on
if it is off, or, in some cases, turn
the Image Display off if it is on.
The batteries
are drained.
Replace or recharge the batteries.
Images in the
memory card
may be
corrupted.
Remove the memory card.
The camera
has stopped
operating.
Open the battery/memory card
door and then close it. This should
reset the camera.
