Troubleshooting
Success: If the two entries for your HP Avaya SBC product are shown in
the show services command display, then access the System Platform
commands as described next.
3. At the prompt, enter the command services <slot-ID> <Avaya-SBC index>.
Using the information in the above example, the command would be:
services I 2
Success: If the HP AllianceONE Services zl Module hardware hosting the
Avaya Aura System Platform is working correctly, then you should see the
following menu of commands:
If the command menu is displayed, then enter the showip command to
check the IP configuration of the HP Avaya SBC product as described
under Verify IP Addressing below.
Failure: If the menu of commands is not displayed, then an error condi-
tion exists on the Avaya Aura System Platform. Try shutting down and
restarting the HP Avaya SBC product, as described under “Restarting the
HP Avaya SBC Product” on page 19, and then retry accessing the services
<slot-ID> <Avaya-SBC index> commands.
If you still cannot access these commands, then there is definitely an error
condition on the Avaya Aura System Platform and you should contact your
Avaya support representative for assistance.
Verify IP Addressing
A failure of test 1 above (“1. Test access to the Avaya Aura System Platform
Web Console” on page 13) may be due to the use of an incorrect IP address in
the webconsole (cdom) URL.
1. If step 3 above succeeded, then you can use one of the commands in the
menu to identify the IP addresses for the HP Avaya SBC Product including
the cdom. At the menu displayed in step 3 above, enter the command
showip.
Remember that in this interface, if you make any typing errors, you must
use the Ctrl key plus the Backspace key to backspace over the error.
