Troubleshooting
The showip command will display the IP addressing for the HP Avaya SBC
Product.
Note: While you are viewing the IP configuration, confirm that the
Dom-0 and cdom IP addresses are in the same subnet. This is a require-
ment for the HP Avaya SBC product to work correctly.
If you have used the incorrect cdom IP address in test 1, then return to “1.
Test access to the Avaya Aura System Platform Web Console” on page 13,
and rerun that test with the correct IP address in the URL.
2. If you have used the correct cdom IP address in test 1, then try pinging
the cdom IP address to confirm that the cdom process is operating
correctly.
From the switch CLI prompt (assuming the cdom IP address is the default
value), enter:
ping 192.168.1.50
If the cdom IP address is different from the default value, substitute that
address in the command.
Failure: If the cdom ping test fails, then the System Platform is not
operating correctly and you must contact Avaya to get assistance. For
more information, go to the Avaya web site:
http://www.avaya.com/support.
Success: If the test is successful, then go to the next step to continue
investigating your access to the System Platform Web Console.
3. If the cdom ping test passes, then SSH to cdom and try restarting the web
console process as described under See “Restarting the Avaya Aura
System Platform Web Console” on page 18.
