Configuring IGMP
As a TCP/IP protocol responsible for IP multicast group member management, the IGMP is used by IP
hosts and adjacent multicast routers to establish and maintain their multicast group memberships.
The term "router" in this document refers to both routers and routing-capable firewalls.
Configuring IGMP in the Web interface
Before you configure IGMP, complete the following tasks:
Configure a unicast routing protocol so that all devices in the domain are interoperable at the
network layer.
Configure PIM-DM or PIM-SM.

Remarks
1. Globally enable multicast routing
Required.
Globally enable multicast routing after selecting Network > Routing
Management > Multicast Routing. For more information, see
"Configuring multicast routing and forwarding."
By default, multicast routing
is globally disabled.
2. Configuring IGMP interfaces
Required.
Enable IGM
P and configure an IGMP version on interfaces.
By default, IGMP is disabled and the default IGMP version is 2.
3. Displaying IGMP multicast group
information
Optional.
View the IGMP multicast group information on interfaces.

1. From the navigation tree, select Network > Routing Management > IGMP.
