Environments that should update:
All TMS Environments
ProCurve's product development model consistently strives to increase reliability, stability and
performance with each successive version of the TMS zl Module software. The maintenance release
for March 2010 contains significant improvements in stability and reliability. The current version
makes a small trade off in decreased performance. Internal testing confirms this trade off will have
a negligible or a manageable impact on most networks. This improved stability and reliability offer
enough value that ProCurve is choosing to make these enhancements available in March, while we
continue to develop a May-June 2010 release that will not require a performance trade off. ProCurve
recommends the March software release for most networks, as users are unlikely to notice any
change in real-world performance for an environment currently running below 75% CPU utilization.
For TMS zl Module deployments in some of the most demanding environments, as listed above, we
recommend waiting for the May-June 2010 maintenance release. The May-June release will be further
enhanced to increase stability and reliability while maintaining full performance. Should you expe-
rience reliability or stability problems with a TMS zl Module in an environment in which the March
2010 update is not advisable, please contact HP ProCurve Support.
The latest TMS zl Module software is publicly available on the ProCurve Web site and can be obtained

. We recommended reading these Release
Notes prior to updating. We also recommend backing up your current configuration before any
update.
