Configuring a WLAN
For example, if this WLAN provides network access for sales representa-
tives in conference rooms, you could enter “Sales/Conference Rooms.”

broadcast to wireless stations.)
4. Select the interface to which the module maps wireless traffic. Choose
one of the following:
Select VLAN ID and enter a value in the corresponding field to map the
WLAN to a particular VLAN.
This is the typical configuration. The Wireless Edge Services xl Mod-
ule tags traffic that arrives on the WLAN for the VLAN you specify.
The VLAN ID can be a value from 1 to 4096.
Select Tunnel and enter the index number for a previously configured
tunnel interface.
Choose this option to configure the module to tunnel all of this
WLAN’s traffic to a remote device, such as a WAN router that connects
to the Internet. In the Gateway and Mask fields, enter the remote
devices IP address on the tunnel subnetwork. See Chapter 12: Con-
figuring Tunnels with Generic Routing Encapsulation for more
information.
