DHCP Server
Excluding Addresses from a Network Pool
You may sometimes want to prevent the DHCP server from assigning specific
IP addresses within the network pool or pools that you have configured. For
example, you would not want the DHCP server to assign an IP address that is
already configured statically on another network device. In such cases, simply
add exclusions to the DHCP server configuration.
To exclude IP addresses from dynamic assignment, complete these steps:
1. Select Network Setup > DHCP Server and click the Excluded tab.
2. Click the Add button. The Add Range screen is displayed.

3. In the Start IP Address and End IP Address fields, enter the starting and
ending IP addresses, respectively, for the range of excluded addresses.
If you want to specify only one IP address, simply leave the End IP Address
fields blank.
4. Click the OK button to apply your changes.
The excluded range is displayed on the Network Setup > DHCP Server >
Excluded screen.
