Using the
Tracking Log
The tracking log consists of two parts:
Job Log — shows details about each print job received by the
server.
System Log — shows details about each system event, such as
connections to the server or adding port.
The log messages are sorted chronologically into folders by date.
To display the Job Log:
In the tree pane, click the Tracking Log icon (or if visible, click the
Job Log icon.
This displays the latest Job Log entry in the detail pane, and expands
the Tracking Log branches in the tree pane.
To delete a Job Log entry:
Drag the log entry icon (in the tree view) to the Trash.
To export the job log:
Enter the URL of the RIP into your browser’s address field, fol-
lowed by “joblog.csv:”
http://[computername]/hp-ripsw/joblog.csv
You will be prompted whether you want to save or open the file, which is
in comma separated values (CSV) format. Open the file in an applica-
tion (such as Microsoft Excel) or save the file to disk.
