Manual Account Loader
Manual Accou
nt Loader (MAL) is a batch tool used to load users into the RISS when the Exchange or
mail server i
s not using LDAP. If the Exchange server is using LDAP, use dynamic account synchronization
(DAS) instead. (See "Account Sy nchronization" on page 43.)
Do not use this tool with Microsoft Exchange 2000 (or later) servers.
Loading user accounts into the system is a three step process:
1. Export a CSV file containing the user accounts you are loading into RISS.
See "Exporting user account information from Exchange" on page 57.
2. Copy the exported CSV file to the PCC server.
3. Load the CS
V file into RISS.

Exporting user a ccount information
Export user account information by domain. You will need one CSV fi le for each domain.
To export user acc ount information from a n Exchange 5.5 server:
1. O p en the Exchange Admin tool.
2. Select Tools > Export D ata.
3. Copy the exported CSV file to the PCC server.
Loading user account information
1. Op en the Manual Account Loader view in PCC.
2. In the CSV File Uploader box, browse to the CSV file you created in "Exporting user account
inf ormation from Exchange" on page 57.
3. Click Upload CSV File.
4. In the Domain Na m e drop-down list, select the domain associated with the user accounts.
Only one domain can be selected.
5. Click Load Selected File.
