1IAPoverview
This chapter describes key concepts involving the HP Integrated Archive Platform.
IAP is a fault-tolerant, secure system of hardware and software that archives les and email messages for
your organization, and lets you search for archived documents. IAP provides the following main functions:
Automatic, active data archiving (email and specic d ocument types) that helps your organization
meet regulatory requirements.
Interactive data querying to search for and retrieve archived data according to various criteria.
EAs is mana gement software for IAP. To interact with the system, users can use the following applications:

The Web UI allows administrators and users to use their web
browser to search for documents archived on the system, and
save and reuse your search-query denitions and results. See
