Error Recovery
TheAccountErr
or Recovery view displays account synchronization activities that have not been performed
successfully. These a ctivities c an include:
• Not being able to add a new user because the user name or object GUID (Global Unique
Identifier) already exists
• Not being able
to update a user because the user’s entry cannot be found
• Not b eing able to remove a user because the user’s entr y cannot be found
• Not being able to add an alias or email routing rule for a user’s repository
• Not being abl
e to add a membership to a group
Activity err
ors are shown grouped by object GUID, with the most recent error at the top of the list. Y ou
can select an activity to at tempt it again, or you can delete it.
Activities can be filtered by clicking User, Group,orMembership at the top of the view.

Object GUI D
LDAP DN
TheGlobalUniqueIdentifier of the user account on the LDAP server; its
corresponding object name, relative location in the LDAP tree, and domain. CN
(Common Name) is the object name, cn is its branch in the tree, and dc values are
domain names. Account synchronization (DAS) supplies these values.
