Description
Acknowledge a specic
host problem
Note: This option appears only if the host status is not OK.
Acknowledges host problems. Future notications about problems are temporarily
disabled until host changes state (for example, recovers). Contacts for host
receive an acknowledgement notication, so they are aware someone is working
on the problem. A comment is also added to host. Enter your name and a brief
description of your actions in the comment eld. The following elds are required:
Host Name
Author (Your Name)
Comment
To send acknowledgement notications to appropriate contacts, select the Send
Notication check box.
To retain comments between Nagios restarts, select the Persistent check box.
Disable noti cations for a
specichost
Prevents notications from being sent for specied host. You must re-enable
noticatio
ns for host before alerts are sent again. This command does not disable
notications for services associated with host.

Schedule downtime for a
specichost
Schedules downtime for a particular host. During specied downtimes, Nagios
does not send notications about host. Whe n scheduled downtimes expire,
Nagios sends notications for host as normal. Scheduled downtimes are
preserved across program shutdowns and restarts.
The following elds are required:

Start Time (mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss)
End Time (m m/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss)
If you select the Fixed check box, downtime is in effect between specied start
and end times. If you do not select the Fixed check box, Nagios treats this as
exible downtime. Flexible downtime starts when host goes d own or becomes
unreachable (sometime between specied start and end times) and lasts for
specied duration. Duration elds do not apply for xed downtime.

re-enable notications for all services associated with host before alerts are sent
again. This does not pr event notications from being sent about host, unless you
select the Disable for host too check box .

Enables notications for all services on specied host. Notications are only sent
for service state types dened in your service denition. This does not enable
notications for host, unless you select the Enable for host too check box.

Schedule an immediate
check of all services on a
specichost
Schedules immediate check of a ll services on specied host. Checks are
scheduled immediately, not necessary executed immediately. If Nagios falls
behind in its scheduling queue, it checks services queued prior to these services.
If you select the Force checkbox,Nagiosforcesacheckofallservicesonhost
regardless of when scheduled checks occur and whether or not checks are
enabled for those services.

Disable checks of all
services on a specichost
Disables all service checks associated with specied host. When a service is
disabled, Nagios does not monitor the service and stops sending notications
for specied service. To have Nagios check service again, you must re-enable
service. Disabling ser vice checks may not prevent noticationsfrombeingsent
about host those services are associated with. This does not disable checks of
host, unless you select the Disable for host too check box.
