Click a tab to view corresponding panel for object. All panels have t
he following parts:
List of (up to 50) objects ltered by Search, Domain, and A -to-Z se
lections.
Information about object selected in the list.
Apply button: Saves changes made to displayed information.
Reset button: Clears changes made and redisplays current datab
ase information.
Individual panels display the following objects:
Users (see "Managing user accounts" on page 121) - RISS users of the kind determined by Options >
Show Users. You can create and delete users, view and edit user
information, and change user status and
privileges.
Repositories (see "Managing repositories" on page 124) - RISS r
epositories. You can create repositories
and add, view, or delete repository ACLs. You cannot delete e
xisting repositories.
ACLs (see "Managing ACLs" on page 127) - access control lists. Y
ou can create a nd delete ACLs, and
add or remove users in existing ACLs.
Routing Rules (see "Managing routing lters"onpage135)-Yo
u can create, view, edit, and delete
routing rules and associate t hem with repositories.
Simple Routing Rules (see Managing simple routing rules
) - You can create, view, edit, and delete simple
routing rules and associate t hem with repositories.
Routing Filters (see "Managing routing lters"onpage
135) - You can create, view, edit, and delete
routing lters and associate them with repositories.
Table 134 Navigation buttons
Shows number of qualied objects displayed. For example, 1-50 of 230 means the rst 50 objects are shown
and a total of 230 objects match selected type and lter criteria.
Click navigation buttons to:
< - Display previous 50 qualied objects.
<< - Display 50 qualied objects before previous 50.
> - Display next 50 qualied objects.
>> - Display 50 qualied objects after next 50.
New - Display the Add New Item dialog box, which is specic to the current panel (see previous panel
descriptions). You can create new objects.
Delete - Delete selected the object. (Not available in all views.)

Performing basic PAM tasks
Use the PAM window to create, view, modify, or delete objects, such as user accounts, ACLs, or routing
rules.
For a sample scenario, see "Example: Integrating new department" on page 138. For detailed
information about individual PAM panels, see panel descriptions later in this chapter.
Creating PAM objects
1. Click the object tab, (for example, ACLs).
2. Click New. The Add New Item dialog box appears.
