table simple routing rule information
Click Mail Addr
ess to see the mailing address of selected simple routing rule. This information is not
editable here. Supply this value with the New button. The Mail Address is matched against both sender
and recipient addresses. It corresponds to Routing Rule Info (TO = . . . O R FROM= . . .) for a routing
rule. See "Managing routing lters"onpage135.
Click Repository IDs to see a list of repositories to which this simple routing rule applies. Emails matching
the rule a re routed to each of these repositories. Double-click a repository I D to display the Repository
dialog box, where you can view (but not modif y) the denition of that repository. (The Repository dialog
box provides the same information as the Repositories panel for that repository. See " Ma naging
repositorie
s"onpage124.)
Adding simple routing rules
1. Click New. The Add New Item dialog box appears.
2. Dene the Mail Address.
3. Select applicable repositories.
NOTE:
For a simple routing rule to have any effect, there must be a routing lter with the same email domain
as in the routing rule Mail Address. When you create a simple routing rule, check the Routing Filters
panel for a lter with the corresponding domain. If there is no such lter, cre ate one. See "Managing
routing lters"onpage135.
Adding repositories to simple routing rules
1. Click Add Rep. The Select Repository dialog box appears.
2. Add one or more repositories.
3. Click Apply in the Simple Routing Rules panel.

Removing repositories from simple routing rules
1. Selec
t repository in the Repository ID list, and click Remove Reps.
2. Click Apply in the Simple Routing Rules panel.
Managing routing lters
Use the Routing F ilters panel to cr eate, edit, or delete routing lters, or select the repositories associated
with a routing lter.
Aroutinglter checks email domains appearing in all addresses of each email. For e ach domain in an
email matching the Email Domain of a routing lter, the following occurs:
All simple routing rules with that domain are checked against the email. Simple routing rules
matching the email are applied (routing email to repositories associated with the rules).
Email is routed to repository (Repository ID) dened for the lter-provided the lter's Repository ID
does not include the special value R0000000 Catchall Repository.
