The Audit Log feature provides a surveillance system log for companies that are required to prove they
are adhering to surveillance processes. This chapter describes how to enable the Audit Log feature, grant
user access to the repository, monitor status, and set retention periods. For information on performing
Audit Log repository queries, see the Audit Log section in the HP StorageWorks Reference Information
Storage System User Guide.
Enabling the Audit Log feature
The Audit Log feature is enabled per domain. To enable the Audit Log feature for a doma in, add the
following attributes into the /install/configs/primary/Domain.jcml le for each domain
where the Audit Log feature needs to be enabled:
AuditLogEnabled=true
domainLog
_IP=<VIP for this domain>
If this RIS
S system is part of a replicated environment and the replicated site, the value of the
domainLog_IP attribute needs to be the VIP of the primary site.
Granting user access to Audit Log repository
By default, no user has access to the Audit Log repository. To grant a user access:
1. Log in to PAM.
2. Select the Audit Log repository to which you want to grant access, for example
<domainname>.userauditlog.repository.(See"Accessing Repositories
panel" on page 124 .)
3. Click the Add ACLs tab and add the ACL of the user to the repository’s access list. (See "Adding
ACLs to repositories"onpage126.)
Monitoring status
Use the PCC RISS Information view to ascertain whether the Audit Log feature (AuditLog Service) is
enabledforaspecicdomain:
