Once applied, any subsequent deletions performed on mailboxes contained in the given mailbox store
are retained for the number of days specied.
Scheduling deletion from RISS
To schedule the delete functionality, enable a scheduled event using Scheduler, and establish a
corresponding rule using M ail Attender.
CAUTION:
Contact your HP representative for assistance in deletion conguration.
Additionally, note that two Domain.jcml attributes, MinRegulatedRetentionPeriodDays and
MinUnRegulatedRetentionPeriodDays, dene the minimum data retention period for a repository. They
are c on gured per domain.
Scheduling events
The main Scheduler screen displays all scheduled events, their status, and type.
1. Ensure that a scheduled event selecting “Synchronize Deleted Items for the event type exists.
2. Ensure that the event t ype “Synchronize Deleted Items also exists. Synchronize Deleted Items
launches PTDelItems.exe. Synchronize D eleted Items removes tombstoned items from the
RISS based upon user-initiated delete options within the Outlook User Inter face.
