Creating alert histogram reports
1. Select a report type: Host or Service.
2. Select a host or service.
3. Select re
port options:
• Report Period: Select a predefined period, or select *CUSTOMREPORTPERIOD*and specify
custom report start and end dates.
•Statist
ics Breakdown: Select a time scale to use for Report Period.
• Events To G raph: Select a type of host or service events to report on: events indicating
change to spec ific status value, all problem status values, or all events.
• State Types To Graph: Select a status conditions to graph: HARD, SOFT,orboth. See
"Hard and soft status conditions" on page 30.
•Assume
State Retention: Typically, use the default, Yes. Select Yes touselastrecordedstatus
value before PCC startup as status value assumed for periods when monitoring was down.
• Initial States Logged: Not used
•Ignor

4. Click Create Report.
Alerts History
This view provides a chrono logy of logge d PCC aler ts. Aler ts are a subset of events listed in the Event Log
view. You can filter this view to display only specific alert types, and display alerts for any given day.
