Hostgroup Commands section
To execute a command:
1. Click any link listed in the following table. The External Command Interface view for that command
appears. See "External Command Interface" on p age 110 for more information.
2. Specify appropriate information. See command descriptions in the following table for more
inf ormation.
3. Click Commit to save changes, or click Res e t to clear input fields.

Schedule downtime for
all hosts in a speci fic
hostgroup
Schedules downtime for all hosts in a particular hostgroup. During scheduled
downtimes, Nagios does not send notifications about hosts. When scheduled
downtimesexpire,Nagiossendsnotificationsforhostsasnormal. Scheduled
downtimesarepreservedacrossprogramshutdownsandrestarts.
The following fields are required:
• Hostgroup Name
• Author (Your Name)
• Comment
• Start Time (mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss)
• End Time (m m/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss)
If you select the Fixed check box, downtime is in effect between specified start
and end times. If you do not select the Fixed check box, Nagios treats this as
flexible downtime. Flexible downtime star ts when a host goes down or becomes
unreachable (sometime between specified start and end times) and lasts for
specified duration. Duration fields do not apply to fixed downtime.
