HP StorageWorks SVSP Plug-in for Oracle Enterprise Manager User Guide (5697-0461, May 2010)

3. Add the user account using the Add User or Group button. Save the settings and exit.
Cannot see the plug-in instance
Log out of the OEM and log in again. Now check the list of All Targets and you will find your plug-in
instance listed there. If it is still not present, check whether it has been properly added to the OEM
agent (follow the steps listed in Plug-in installation procedure on page 8).
ASM information does not display
When selecting the two ASM reports and there is no returned data, there could be a couple of reasons
for this:
ASM is not being used on this host. You might have an ASM instance created but no disk groups
have been defined.
The environment settings SVSP_ASM_SID and/or SVSP_ORACLE_HOME have not been set in the
profile on UNIX/Linux or in the Windows advanced settings. Refer to Oracle Enterprise Manager
plug-in installation and configuration on page 5 for details on setting these parameters.
If these SVSP environmental variables are not set, an error message will be displayed and also be
placed in the asmerror.log located in the plug-in script directory.
