2. Click Configure next to the option you want to configure to start the setup wizards. The options
available for the protected site include:
• Connection
• Array Managers
• Inventory Mappings
• Protection Groups
Recovery plans are only created on the recovery site and not on the protected site. Before configuring
the storage, you must pair the protected site and the recovery site:
1. Click the Configure link next to Connection.
2. Specify the name or IP address of the recovery site vCenter server that will be acting as the
recovery site.
3. Enter the credentials for the authorized user.
4. Accept SSL cross certificates.
The recovery vCenter server should be listed as paired to the local site.
Configuring the storage
HP SVSP provides virtualization of storage arrays through the SVSP GUI. Using the SVSP GUI, storage
can be provisioned to the ESX host servers and replicated to the recovery site HP SVSP system. VMware
Site Recovery Manager interfaces through the SRA adapter to the HP SVSP systems and controls
mirroring between the protected site and the recovery site.
