Installing multipath applications
HP-UX multipathing
HP-UX 11iv2
NOTE:
Secure Path requires a right-to-use license per server.
1. Go to http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/sanworks/secure-path/hp-ux.html.
2. Under Support, click Software updates.
3. Under Select your product, click HP StorageWorks Secure Path for HP-UX Software.
4. Click Download drivers and software.
5. Select a language and operating system.
6. Either select the correct product description, or click Download for that product.
7. Read and print the readme file included with the downloaded driver. The file contains installation
instructions and any limitations.
The following is an example of an HP-UX multipathing installation:
1. FTP the Secure Path files to the HP-UX server.
2. Gunzip the .Z file.
3. Run tar –xvf to untar the remaining tar file.
4. Run ./install .sh and enter the number 2 for active-active.
5. Read the copyright statement and answer yes to both questions as to whether you desire to install.
6. After the first installation completes, run ./install .sh and enter 1 for active-passive.
7. Restart the server. Follow any instructions for a reboot that might appear.
8. Download the current patch to your server and install the patch following the same process as
above.
