ThP pool threshold
Storage pool threshold is the percentage of the used storage pool capacity versus the total storage
pool capacity. The threshold allows the user to define three alarm levels. You can set the pool
threshold between 1% and 99% in increments of 1%. The default value is 10%.
When free capacity drops below a storage pool threshold:
• Warning
Send a warning to the event log every five minutes◦
◦ Delete oldest asynchronous mirror PiTs
◦ Keep the most recent asynchronous mirror PiTs
• Guard
Detach asynchronous mirror tasks◦
◦ Delete most recent PiT
◦ Delete migration tasks
◦ Delete oldest PiT
• Emergency
◦ Delete all PiTs (starting from the oldest) that do not have snapshots
The time necessary to order, receive, and install new physical disks varies by customer. Therefore,
always give yourself and your customer enough time to react to physical storage pool space needs.
