Possible actionDescriptionTask status
Wait until the group’s status returns to normal. After
the group’s status returns to normal, new management
operations are enabled.
The group is in the process of
copying data from one task to an-
other in the background. This pro-
cess is initiated when a new task is
created or when the mirror recovers
a task after it failed.
SnapSync
Check the mirror state reported in the Host Presentation
tab for the group for each cluster node.
If at least one node is in Normal status, the application
might be up and running. Check in the cluster node
itself. Try fixing the problem causing the host to appear
as absent or failed in the VSM server. If the problem
still exists, delete the host from all domains and set
permissions for the sync mirror group to other hosts.
Then bring the cluster application online on these new
hosts.
One of the cluster nodes that has
permission to the sync mirror group
is failed or absent.
Absent
Recovering from a site failure
If a synchronous mirroring site fails, you can perform the following operations on synchronous mirroring
groups for site recovery:
Force Delete—Forcibly deletes the failed mirroring group.
Force Resume—Forcibly resumes mirroring for the group with the site.
For more information on using these options, see the HP StorageWorks SAN Virtualization Platform
administrator guide.
