Figure 6 (page 15) shows the current recommended zoning. This improved implementation provides
these necessary benefits:
• The front-end host ports have two paths to a server. More paths may be needed for additional
bandwidth, but should be avoided if not required.
• The VSM server and DPM communicate with each other for control.
• The DPMs and VSMs have limited redundant paths to the arrays.
• Easier to understand, troubleshoot, set up, and expand.
