The status of the HBA. Possible values:
PresentThe VSM server detects the HBA on the SAN.
FailedThe HBA is recognized over Fibe Channel (FC) or iSCSI but the HBA
didn't poll to the VSM server within the last three minutes (or more).
AbsentThe HBA was previously detected by the VSM server, but is currently
not recognized. This could be due to the zoning configuration, the absence of
a cable, or the absence of the HBA.
Status
The type of connection between the VSM server and the HBA. Possible values:
FCThe HBA is external to the VSM server.
LocalA local HBA is installed on the active VSM server.
Connection Type
A free text display field.Comment
The time at which VSM created the HBA object.Creation Time
The user who created the HBA. The value is always system, since VSM creates
the object when the VSM server first detects the HBA.
Created By
The time at which the HBA was last modified.Modification Time
The user who last modified the HBA. To modify the text that appears here, right-
click the HBA and select Manage > Edit Comment. You can use this field for any
purpose.

Viewing HBA information
You can display detailed information related to each HBA in the tabs area below the HBAs list.
To view information related to an HBA:
In the HBAs list, select an HBA. The following tabs are displayed in the tabs area below the HBAs
list:
PropertiesProvides the general information about the selected HBA described in Table 69.
HostDisplays the properties of the host to which the selected HBA belongs, if known.
Access PathProvides information about the connectivity paths through which VSM can access
the selected HBA.
SecurityShows which permissions are assigned to users and user groups for managing the HBA.
Disabled OperationsShows which operations you cannot currently perform on the HBA and the
reason for each. See the release notes for a current list of disabled operations.
