6. Click Finish. The new query is created.
To add criteria to your query, go to Adding criteria to queries on page 332.
Creating quick queries
Quick queries are queries that are partially predefined and quick to create. There is one type of quick
query called Objects not in normal status. This type of quick query returns objects of a type that you
specify whose statuses are not normal.
To create a quick query:
1. Right-click the Queries node.
2. Select Create quick query > Objects not in normal state. The Objects not in normal status wizard
opens to the Enter Quick Query Parameters screen.
3. In the Query name field, enter a name for the query.
4. In the Comment field, enter any desired text.
5. In the Select Object Type field, select the type of objects you want to query.
6. Click Next. A confirmation screen appears.
7. Click Finish.
Adding criteria to queries
The VSM client enables you to add criteria for multiple object types to a single query. To add criteria
for multiple object types, perform the following procedure for each object type.
To add criteria to a query:
1. Right-click the query.
2. Select Manage > Edit query. A dropdown list of object types appears.
