Managing user groups
The VSM client enables you to create and configure user groups. The VSM client provides the following
default user groups:

Full
Automatically includes the administrator user Admin.
Other users can be manually added to this user group.
When a user is added to the group, the user receives
administrator permissions.
Administrators
None
Automatically includes all new users. Users in this group
have read permissions to all objects in the domain. For
information about changing this default setting, see
Configuring general security options on page 339.
Read-only
None
Users in this group can manage users and user groups.
This includes creating, deleting, or modifying, including
removing users from user groups and changing user
passwords. These users also have the ability to import and
export users and user groups between domains.
User-manager
None
Users in this group can view and clear event logs, and
shutdown the active VSM server.
Maintenance
The default permissions are the permissions with which the default user groups are automatically
added to newly created permission templates. For information about permission templates, see
Working with permission templates on page 354.

To view the user groups list:
1. In the navigation tree, expand the Users Management node.
