3. Click Add New e-Mail Group. The Create notification group dialog box appears.

4. In the Name field, enter a name for the new event log notification group.
5. In the e-mail field, enter a single common e-mail address or Outlook contact group for the event
log notification group.
6. In the Comment field, enter any desired text.
7. From the Select options for create dropdown box, select one of the following:
• All Messages of all Message Groups—Select this option to send the notification group notific-
ations of all events that occur.
• Specify messages—Select this option to send the notification group events of specified types.
8. If you selected Specify messages in step 7, specify event notification criteria in any of the following
tabs. The VSM client sends an event notification e-mail when the selected event notification criteria
are met.
• By Message Groups—Use this tab to specify all messages in a specified set of message
groups. Select one or more message groups. You can hold down Shift to select a range of
adjacent message groups, and you can hold down Ctrl to select multiple individual message
groups.
• By severities—Use this tab to specify all messages of a specified set of message severities.
Check the severities you want to specify.
• By severities and Message Groups—Use this tab to specify a different set of severities per
message group. Check the severities you want to specify for each message group.
• By messages—Use this tab to specify messages. Check Exist to select a message.
9. Click OK. The new event log notification group is created.
10. Click Close. The Options dialog box closes.
