HP StorageWorks SAN Virtualization Services Platform Manager User Guide (5697-0454, May 2010)

DescriptionProperty
An ID that the HBA on the VSM server assigns to each storage system controller
port. Windows reports the target ID on back-end LU properties. The target ID, to-
gether with the path ID, identifies the back-end LU.
Target ID
The SCSI port number assigned to the HBA on the VSM server by Windows. Each
HBA has a different port number.
Port Number
The logical unit number with which the back-end LU is presented by the controller.LUN
If the back-end LU is presented by more than one controller, this column indicates
which access paths connect with the back-end LU through the storage systems
preferred controller for the back-end LU.
Primary
Indicates if the access path is available. If the back-end LU is presented by more
than one controller, the access paths through the primary controller are active
except in case of failover, when the access paths through the primary controller
become inactive and the secondary access paths become active.
Active
A 4-bit bitmask of the following flags:
0x01 = set for a primary access path, reset for secondary
0x02 = set for an active access path, reset for a passive access path
0x04 = set for active/passive LUN (dual controller)
0x08 = set for a failed access path
Status Flags
The VSM node to which the access path connects.Attached Node
