12 FC Target Ports
Profile introduction
The FC Target Port Profile models the Fibre Channel ports available for use by hosts interested in using
devices exposed on the storage system. In VSM terms, the FC Target Ports are the FC ports of a Data
Path Module (DPM) to which front-end HBAs (hosts) connect.

Functional description
The FC Target Ports Profile is a read-only model which monitors:
• The FC ports available to hosts as targets
• The current state of all FC target ports
• The creation, deletion, and change of state of the target ports
