HPSVSP_StorageVirtualizationServerGroup : CIM_RedundancySet
Class introduction
This collection indicates that the aggregated HPSVSP_StorageVirtualizationServer elements
provide redundancy for the top-level ComputerSystem HPSVSP_StorageAppliance.
There shall be one instance of this class in an SVSP Domain.
Indications
• Name: Redundancy Set state change
• Filter: SELECT * FROM CIM_InstModification WHERE SourceInstance ISA CIM_RedundancySet
AND SourceInstance.RedundancyStatus <> PreviousInstance.RedundancyStatus
• Description: Triggered when a RedundancySet's RedundancyStatus property changes value.

RedundancyStatus details the current status
of a RedundancySet, and shall be a com-
pilation of the HostStatus of each VSM
Server member of a given RedundancySet.
The members of a specific HPSVSP_Stor-
ageVirtualizationServerGroup can be
defined as the HPSVSP_StorageVirtualiza-
tionServer(VSM Server) instances acting in
the Member role of an HPSVSP_Server-
GroupMember Association where the in-
stance of HPSVSP_StorageVirtualization-
ServerGroup acts as the Collection member
of the same HPSVSP_ServerGroupMember-
association instance.
SNIA Profile Defined Status:
• 0 ( Unknown )
• 2 ( Fully Redundant ) All of the con-
figured redundancy is still available
• 3 ( Degraded Redundancy ) Some
configured elements are degraded,
missing or failed
• 4 ( Redundancy Lost )
RedundancyStatus shall be compiled from the
aggregated VSMs Status values.
If Active VSM Status is Present then the
PassiveVSMStatus determines the
RedundancyStatus as follows:
• PassiveVSMStatus Present, then Redund-
ancyStatus = 2 ( Fully Redundant )
• PassiveVSMStatus Offline OR Failed OR
Absent => RedundancyStatus = 4 ( Redund-
ancy Lost )
• PassiveVSMStatus Degraded, then Redund-
ancyStatus = 3 ( Degraded Redundancy )
If Active VSM Status Present, then always set
RedundancyStatus = 0 ( Unknown )
