HP StorageWorks SAN Virtualization Services Platform SMI-S User Guide (5697-0209, April 2010)

HPSVSP_ControllerConfigurationService ExposePaths() method to affect the exposure of the storage
entity.
HidePaths: hiding hosts from a virtual disk
Once a ProtocolController is created, an SMI-S client may remove logical units, initiators, or target
ports within the ProtocolController, and hence, can hide certain 'paths' within the storage system.
Classes
HPSVSP_AuthorizedPrivilege : CIM_AuthorizedPrivilege
Class introduction
This class represents the access privileges of HPSVSP_HostInitiatorPort (User Defined Host Hba ) to a
set of VirtualDisks or Snapshot-on-VirtualDisk through a SCSI LUN snapshot represented by an
HPSVSP_SCSIProtocolController.
Since the existence of this class implicitly means the HostInitiatorPort has access and since the
Read-Read/Write access is controlled at the VirtualDisk level in ProtcolControllerForUnit.DeviceAccess,
the properties on this class represent full permissions and cannot be modifed. The
PrivilegeManagementService, while present, cannot be used to create or delete instances of this class
and return "Not Supported" for both the AssignAccess and RemoveAccess methods.
There is exactly a 1-1-1 relationship between the AuthorizedSubject, AuthorizedPrivilege, and
AuthorizedTarget instances. In other words, Privilege instances cannot be shared.
This class is enumerated by the following steps:
Class keys/properties
CommentsDescriptionProperty Name
<domain> + HbaNameInstanceID
Boolean indicating whether the Privilege is granted
(TRUE) or denied (FALSE). The default is to grant
permission.
