1. Add VSM SaSnap icon to the desktop.
a. Click the Windows Start button.
b. Highlight All Programs.
c. Highlight SVSP.
d. Right-click on SVSP SaSnap, highlight Send To, and select Desktop.
A VSM SaSnap icon appears on the desktop.
2. Launch VSM SaSnap by clicking the icon created in the previous step.
3. To collect the logs from the passive VSM:
a. Ensure telnet and FTP services are enabled. If not enabled, run the SaSnap command
from the passive VSM.
b. Select the check box to the left of the second VSM. Right-click on the VSM and select
Change Parameters. Enter the Windows administrator's user name and password The
host name and IP address should already be completed. Update if necessary.
4. Ensure that the check box is selected next to the names of the Local SVSP.
5. Check the box next to the DPMSnap under Local SVSP.
6. Click the + button next to parameters and select full.
7. Click the Add button and enter a description. If you experience a problem with a migration,
snapclone, or asynchronous mirror task, select the There is a problem with a task box, and
specify the task name, source domain, and destination domain. Click OK.
