The following is a brief description of these files and utilities:
To install the SVSP software onto the VSM server, select Install SVSP Software. This is primarily
done by HP Services when setting up the SVSP environment.
To adjust the HBA I/O throttling, select Set Parameters to VSM HBAs.
If you are using the SMI-S client, you can select VSM WSRM configuration files to use the
Windows System Resource Manager to limit the CPU and memory used by the SMI-S provider.
That will allow enough resources for normal VSM activities to be maintained.
To locate the DPM software image file, click the hyperlink named Get DPM Software Image
File to save or run the image. Save the image to the My Documents folder.
To install the ForceActive utility, click the hyperlink named Browse to "ForceActive" Utililty.
This utility provides a means to recover automatically from a stretched domain failure.
To obtain the SVSP VSS Provider files, click the hyperlink named Browse to SVSP VSS Provider.
To obtain the VSM CLI packages for HP-UX, Linux, or Windows, click the hyperlink named
Browse to VSM CLI Packages to open a Windows Explorer window. Right-click a CLI package
and select Save as to copy the package elsewhere. The CD can be used to install the CLI
packages on other client servers.
To run the SVSP upgrade patch, select Utility to upgrade from SVSP 2.1x. This upgrade is
performed by HP Services.
