HP StorageWorks SAN Virtualization Services Platform 2.02 release notes (5697-8024, February 2009)

Prerequisites
A dual-fabric SAN with approved storage arrays using B- or C-Series switches. See the HP Single
Point of Connectivity Knowledge (SPOCK) website at http://www.hp.com/storage/spock for supported
switch firmware. Site registration is required.
Installation instructions
For a new installation of Virtualization Services Manager or Data Path Module software, follow the
procedures described in the HP StorageWorks SAN Virtualization Services Platform installation and
configuration guide. If you are installing this software as an upgrade to an existing installation, contact
HP Support for the SVSP version 2.0 or version 2.01 to version 2.02 upgrade instructions.

Table 1 lists the supported operating systems for HP SAN Virtualization Services Platform and their
approved multipath drivers. For additional information on the supported operating systems and drivers,
see http://www.hp.com/storage/spock. Site registration is required.

To obtain the HP MPIO Full Feature DSM and DSM Manager:
1. Go to http://www.hp.com and click Support & Drivers.
2. In the Step 1 area, select the Download drivers and software (and firmware) option. The Step 2
field becomes available.
3. In the “For product” field of the Step 2 area, enter DSM and click Go. A screen listing other
multi-path software for Windows is displayed.
4. Click Windows MPIO DSM for SAN Virtualization Services Platform.
The following auto-failover and recovery tools are not supported:
