3. Enter this information:
Query name – This is the name that you want for the query. In this example, the search
is for information about HBAs, so the name of the query is HBA. You can use any name
that is meaningful to you. You must complete this field.
Comment – Use this field to add descriptive information about the query, such as why
you needed to create this query. This field is optional.
Select Object Type - Use this list to select the object for which you are creating this query.
4. Click Next.
5. Click Finish.
The query is now listed in the VSM management GUI as shown in Figure 22 (page 45).

To run a quick query from the Query(s) list perform these steps:
1. Under the root of the GUI, select Query Management.
The list of queries appears.
2. Double-click the query name. The query returns results only when the objects in the query do
not have a status of Normal or Present.
If the query finds objects with a status that is anything other than Normal or Present, the objects
appear in a list. Figure 23 (page 46)1 shows such a list.
