HP StorageWorks SAN Virtualization Services Platform Manager Command Line Interface User Guide (5697-0936, May 2011)

NOTE: If a failure occurs for any group on the list, the command stops executing and does not
process the remaining list.
CreateVDGAsyncMirrorGroupEx command
Syntax
CreateVDGAsyncMirrorGroupEx -MirrorGroup MirrorGroupName, ~
[-Interval numberOfMinutes,] ~
[-Keep NumberOfPiTsToKeep,] [ , -UserPiTOnly 0|1, ] ~
-task MirrorTaskName, -SourceVDG SourceVDGName, ~
-DestinationVDG destinationVDGroupName, ~
-Domain DestinationVSMDomainName, -Priority 1|2|3, ~
-VirtualDisk SourceVirtualdisk _Destination DestinationVirtualDisk ~
_StoragePool PoolName, [_thin 0|1], ~
[-VirtualDisk SourceVirtualDisk _Destination DestinationVirtualDisk ~
_StoragePool PoolName, [_thin 0|1,] ] ~
-timeout 900
Description
Creates an asynchronous mirror group over a virtual disk group.
The -SourceVDG argument is used as the name of the source virtual disk group.
The -DestinationVDG argument is used as the name for the created virtual disk group at the
destination. (See “Constraints on name strings” (page 10) for naming limitations.) For any virtual
disk included in the source virtual disk group, create a destination virtual disk and a storage pool
from which the destination virtual disk is created.
The Interval argument is optional, and represents the time between the creation of PiTs in
minutes. If omitted, the default value is 30 minutes. The maximum interval is 24 hours or 1440
minutes.
The Keep argument is optional and represents the number of PiTs to be tracked. If omitted, the
default value keeps 1 as the last PiT.
User PiTs are automatically deleted by the system, and cannot be purged by a script command.
The -UserPitOnly argument determines if the mode of application for this group is “UserPiT
only,” and by default is set to 0.
Avoid using the same name for MirrorGroupName and MirrorTaskName.
NOTE: The number of source virtual disks (-VirtualDisk argument) must be the same as the
number of virtual disks in the source virtual disk group. Keep the same order as the virtual disks
appear in the virtual disk group's virtual disk list.
The Priority argument has no significance, and should be treated as optional.
DeleteLocalAsyncMirrorGroup command
Syntax
DeleteLocalAsyncMirrorGroup -Group AsyncMirrorGroupName_1 ~
[-Group AsyncMirrorGroupName_2, . . . , ] ~
-timeout 900
Description
Deletes local asynchronous mirror groups. Local means the source virtual disk is in the local (current)
SVSP domain.
