HP StorageWorks SAN Virtualization Services Platform 2.02 release notes (5697-8024, February 2009)

Description
HP StorageWorks SAN Virtualization Services Platform (SVSP) is a hardware and software solution
that enhances the storage capabilities of approved storage arrays. Using Virtualization Service
Manager (VSM) software, redundant VSM servers and Data Path Modules map application server
I/O to locations on storage systems.
Versions
HP SAN Virtualization Services Platform 2.02, which includes:
Virtualization Services Manager software version 1.1.335.4 supported by LSI HBA driver version
9.1.3.17 dated 5/14/2007.
Data Path Module software version 5.1.31–11i.
HP provides supported applications for anti-virus protection and the imaging of installation restore
points. Other applications may work, but the following were tested with the HP SAN Virtualization
Services Platform:
Symantec AntiVirus 10.x
Symantec Ghost Solution Suite 2.0
Product models
HP StorageWorks Data Path Module
HP ProLiant DL360 G5 server for the HP SAN Virtualization Services Platform Manager (or Virtualization

Fixes
Version 2.02
The Data Path Module software was updated to fix an issue that caused the Data Path Modules to
not fail over correctly when connected to an HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) 4400.
This issue occurs with Data Path Module software versions 5.1.31–11h and earlier.
Version 2.01
Virtualization Services Manager 1.1.335.4 fixes an issue that caused the SVSP solution to not discover
new LUNs (and blue screen) when simultaneously running these three products and versions:
Virtualization Services Manager 1.1.335.1–D
Data Path Module 5.1.31–11h
HP VCS 6.200 controller firmware, or later
