2. Select the Plugins menu option, and then select Manage Plugins.
3. Locate the “vCenter Site Recovery Manager Extension” plug-in and select Download and Install...
4. After the plug-in is installed, close the window.
A new Site Recovery icon appears in the VI client. All further management is done through the Site
Recovery icon link.
Installing the HP SVSP Storage Replication Adapter
Storage Replication Adapter (SRA) is an interface between the storage array and Site Recovery
Manager. SRA enables Site Recovery Manager communication with storage array features, specifically
replication and snapshots. SRA lets Site Recovery Manager support many different storage arrays
without embedding specific storage-array knowledge into the Site Recovery Manager binary file, and
the SRA also contains scripts.
To install the SVSP SRA, perform the following steps:
1. Download the HP SVSP SRAs from the VMware Site Recovery Manager download page or from
HP at http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/ProductList.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&
taskId=135&prodTypeId=18964&prodSeriesId=499896.
2. Install the Site Recovery Manager server, and then install the SRAs. The SRA installation does not
require much configuration.
a. Download the HP SVSP SRA.
b. After Site Recovery Manager has been installed, run the install wizard for the HP SVSP SRA.
There are no options to configure during the installation.
c. After the SRA is installed, the VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager Server service must
be restarted to detect the HP SVSP storage.
